November 27, 2017 As part of a Master of Landscape Architecture thesis, a design was created for Ottawa Street North showing the potential for green infrastructure in a post-industrial neighbourhood. The design was awarded a Hamilton Urban Design and Architecture Award of Merit.

An interactive presentation of the design can be found at Hamilton’s Greenest Street

Green Streets Challenge

June 25, 2017 we initiated the creation of a pop-up park for children as part of the Barton Street Festival. Barton BIA, Cub Cadet, Green Horizons  and Cedar Springs Group collaborated with APLD to cover a section of Barton Street east with turf, creating a green space for children to play in an area normally dominated by pavement. The pop-up park will be recreated on June 2, 2018 as part of the Hamilton 100 in 1 day.
